Sunshine Insurance Helps Another Satellite Launch

The day of June 6, 2008 witnessed the successful launch of ChinaStar 9 Living Broadcast Satellite at the Xichang Satellite Launching Center in China’s Southwest Sichuan Province, which marked the eighth commercial satellite that Sunshine P&C Insurance has co-insured since its founding.

From its very beginning, Sunshine P&C Insurance has actively took part in coinsurance of China’s spaceflight industry and had triumphantly helped the launch of seven commercial satellites before including FY-2D Satellite, Apstar 6, Sinosat 1, Sinosat 3, Practice 8, Nistar 1 and ChinaStar 6. In doing so, Sunshine P&C Insurance has expanded its influence in spaceflight insurance sectors as well as special risk insurance fields, accumulated precious experiences and fully demonstrated its goodwill and great strength to support the development and the risk management of China’s spaceflight industry. 

It is said that ChinaStar 9 is a high-power, highly reliable and long life radio & television living broadcast satellite that China Satellite Communications Corporation purchased from France. Its operation will further widen the coverage rate of Chinese radio & television and improve the audience quality in remote areas, especially at the eve of Beijing Olympic Games.
